Accessibility Statement

We want this website to be usable by everyone. This statement describes what we aim for, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

Effective date: 7 September 2026Last updated: 7 September 2026

01

Our commitment

Visiting Faculty is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people using assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control software, and alternative input devices. Accessibility is treated as part of the ongoing design and development of the site, not as a one-time exercise.

02

What we aim for

We design and build this website with the following goals in mind:

  • Semantic page structure, with meaningful headings, landmarks and lists, so assistive technologies can interpret each page.
  • Full keyboard navigability: menus, links, forms and controls can be reached and operated without a mouse.
  • Visible focus indicators so keyboard users can see where they are on the page.
  • Colour contrast between text and backgrounds chosen to remain legible across the site's navy, gold and off-white palette.
  • Form fields with clear labels, helper text and identifiable error messages, so submissions can be completed independently.
  • Responsive layouts that remain usable on small screens and when text is enlarged.
  • Alternative text for meaningful imagery, and decorative elements hidden from assistive technologies.

03

Conformance status

We take guidance from recognised accessibility practices, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), as a design reference. However, this website has not been formally audited or certified against any specific WCAG conformance level, and we do not claim such certification.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. Some parts of the site may not yet work perfectly with every assistive technology or browser combination, and we welcome reports that help us improve.

04

Feedback and reporting an issue

If you experience any difficulty using this website — for example, content you cannot read, a form you cannot complete, or a control you cannot operate — please tell us. It helps if you can include:

  • The page address (URL) where you encountered the issue.
  • A short description of the problem and what you were trying to do.
  • The device, browser and any assistive technology you are using, if you are comfortable sharing it.

Write to us at info@visitingfaculty.com. We will review accessibility reports promptly, respond to you, and work to resolve the issue or provide the information in an alternative format where reasonably possible.

05

Review of this statement

This Accessibility Statement was prepared on the date shown at the top of this page and will be reviewed as the website evolves. Significant changes to how the site addresses accessibility will be reflected here.
